Prayer for a Clean Heart
We all fall down. We all fall short of the glory of God. But thanks be to our loving God who is able to restore and redeem us.

Create in me a pure heart, O God, and renew a steadfast spirit within me. Do not cast me from your presence or take your Holy Spirit from me. Restore to me the joy of your salvation and grant me a willing spirit, to sustain me. Psalms 51:10-12 NIV

Our Psalm for today is a familiar one that we have read and understand the situation and circumstance in which King David penned the words. In our human fallibility we will let ourselves, our family, friends and God down. We can make amends and ask for forgiveness, but it is God alone who will forgive us and can redeem us. So let’s stand on the word of God trusting that He will create a clean heart in us all. Pray this prayer with me.
