You must study to show yourself approved, but the test is in your application. Your true reward is not a grade, but a disciplined spirit, a transformed mind and a repentant heart. Because having the information does not necessarily give you knowledge and it is knowledge that leads to wisdom. Today’s prayer is that God will guide your heart and mind whenever you study His word.

? Meditate on these verses with this prayer:

For whatever was written in former days was written for our instruction, that through endurance and through the encouragement of the Scriptures we might have hope. Romans 15:4 ESV
Do your best to present yourself to God as one approved, a worker who has no need to be ashamed, rightly handling the word of truth. 2 Timothy 2:15 ESV
For the word of God is living and active, sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing to the division of soul and of spirit, of joints and of marrow, and discerning the thoughts and intentions of the heart. Hebrews 4:12 ESV
Your word is a lamp to my feet and a light to my path. Psalm 119:105 ESV
This Book of the Law shall not depart from your mouth, but you shall meditate on it day and night, so that you may be careful to do according to all that is written in it. For then you will make your way prosperous, and then you will have good success. Joshua 1:8 ESV
