The Bible teaches us to do all our work as for the Lord. Because ultimately, God is the provider and source of everything we have, earn, save or give away. Job loss is hard, but our God is great.

? Meditate on these verses with this prayer:

‘ Humble yourselves, therefore, under the mighty hand of God so that at the proper time he may exalt you, casting all your anxieties on him, because he cares for you. ‘ 1 Peter 5:6-7

‘I have been young, and now am old, yet I have not seen the righteous forsaken or his children begging for bread. ‘ Psalm 37:25

‘Rejoice in hope, be patient in tribulation, be constant in prayer. ‘ Romans 12:12

‘ The blessing of the Lord makes rich, and he adds no sorrow with it. ‘ Proverbs 10:22

‘For thus says the Lord of hosts: Yet once more, in a little while, I will shake the heavens and the earth and the sea and the dry land. And I will shake all nations, so that the treasures of all nations shall come in, and I will fill this house with glory, says the Lord of hosts. The silver is mine, and the gold is mine, declares the Lord of hosts. ‘ Haggai 2:6-8
